Tiffany Sterling Coffeepot

When an ornamental silver object is stripped of its patina using Tarn-X, Tarn-X-type products, or constantly cleaned in the dishwasher, the coffeepot to the left can be the result: flat! I repatinated it, making the chasing and repoussé "pop" and giving the ornament a more three-dimensional feel. I did this to all six pieces of the set, as Tiffany would have done in their factory when it was created. Photos: Bill Hicks
