Cast Iron Match Safe

This match safe (photographed 2x its normal size) had its center hinge knuckle that was partially missing. I rebuilt the knuckle using pulse arc welding and stainless steel wire, removed the old steel hinge wire, re-drilled the holes and inserted a new steel wire. Notice that I maintained a slightly rough look of the rebuilt knuckle to match the rest of the safe. The customer will repatinate.
