The owner of this coin tried using Tarn-X to remove the tarnish that formed underneath the lacquer (left). The results from using the chemical cleaner are obvious. I stripped the remaining lacquer and cleaned the coin, resulting in a pristine surface (center). After applying a patina that was originally applied by the manufacturer, you can see how much more three-dimensional the piece appears. I then coated the coin with Renaissance wax.
