Sterling Paul Storr Tazza
This 77 troy-oz. tazza (a shallow cup on a pedestal) came to me with its removeable upper basket tilted and numerous wire elements disconnected. I removed the basket, leveled its rim, and welded the wires back in place. The only finishing required was using a Selvyt cloth sprayed with a small amount of Windex with vinegar to wipe away any fingerprints. With his attention to detail and superb craftsmanship, it's no wonder Storr was considered England's finest silversmith of his day. |
