William
Plummer Sterling Pierced Basket, London, 1761
This beautiful basket came to me to have its feet leveled because the basket body had been torqued, which I torqued back in place. Encrustation was then removed, the poice polished, then tarnish protected with Meguiar's Quik Wax. Notice the tarnished concave "dimples" on the underside. The larger ones were polished with cotton swabs and the smaller ones with toothpicks wrapped with cotton from cotton balls. |
